Are you a biker looking to buy a new motorcycle for your new adventure ride? This one's for you.
This particular bike is especially for you if you ride off-road and rough terrain.
We're talking about the new launch from BMW —the F 450 GS. Its specs were recently released in India.
Now, the question is: what's new, and should you buy it?
The older GS 310 is off the market and will be replaced by the F 450 GS as the entry-level adventure bike.
Also, the bike will be made in India by TVS, so you can expect it to be priced competitively.
First, unlike its bigger siblings, it'll be lighter with a kerb weight of just 178kg.
And the engine produces 48 HP and 43 Nm, enough to lug you and your luggage with a pillion.
With lower weight and power figures, it'll be easier to handle it in city traffic.
The peak power and torque come early in the rev range, which makes it commuter-friendly.
Also, it features BMW's shift assist pro, which makes it easy to up and downshift without the clutch in traffic.
You will have four bike variants to choose from- Basic, Exclusive, Sport and Trophy.
The easy ride clutch is only available in the top Trophy variant of the bike.
And the base variant doesn't get riding modes or any form of protection.
If I were you I'd go with the Trophy variant. So which variant are you planning to buy? Comment below.
